FichteGoesUK Donate to the England trip

Fichtenberg-Gymnasium booster club

Because school is more than classes:

The Fichtefreunde support events, class trips, field trips, concerts, sports days, project days and a lot more at the Fichte. That builds a sense of belonging, team spirit and shared responsibility across the school community.

FichteGoesUK: Help keep the England trip going

At the start of 8th grade, the Fichte takes the whole grade to England for a week. Students stay with host families in Ramsgate and go on trips to London, Dover and Canterbury. Your donation helps keep the trip going and makes sure everyone can come along.

Our purpose

Supporting the Fichte with ideas and resources

Our bylaws list a number of ways we do this, including:

  • Trips

Supporting class trips, course trips and group trips.

  • Teaching materials

    Buying teaching materials and equipment.

  • Individual support

    Helping individual students or groups.

  • Competitions

Awards and prizes for school competitions.

  • Events

Running school events and helping shape them.

  • Public profile

Making the school visible to the wider public.

Have an idea or a project that fits? Then submit a funding request. You’ll find the full bylaws and other downloads under Documents.

With the Fichtefreunde, we can quickly get projects off the ground that help our students directly. It lets us support our teaching in ways that would be unthinkable on the school’s own budget. A strong booster club is incredibly important!

What we fund

From class trips to the concert hall

Trips

Is your class planning an exciting outing or trip? The booster club covers the cost of one special activity along the way, as long as the class chips in too, for example with a bake sale or a charity run.

Tech equipment

Thanks to many donations and our membership fees, we keep improving the school's tech equipment when the school budget doesn't stretch far enough. SMART Boards, a sound system, a keyboard, air purifiers: we've helped pay for many of them.

Student council projects

Our students have lots of ideas, and we help make them happen. School dance, FIFA Cup, student newspaper, yearbook, senior class projects: we help with organizing or with money. We also help furnish common rooms and quiet rooms.
