School budgets are tight. For extras like class and course trips, excursions, and musical or artistic projects there is barely any public funding left.
Where the school budget falls short, the Förderverein steps in: with group funding (for the student council, the rowing club or the welcome classes, for example) and with purchases like SMART boards — financed by membership fees and donations from individuals and businesses.
Is your class planning an exciting field trip or trip? The Friends of the School Association will cover the costs for a special event during the trip—as long as the class also contributes to the funding. Simply get the plan approved by the school administration and submit the application online.
Thanks to numerous donations and membership dues, we are able to continually improve the school’s technical equipment – when the school budget isn’t sufficient to cover these costs. Smartboards, sound systems, keyboard, air purifiers – we’ve contributed to many of these purchases.
Our students have lots of ideas – and we help them bring them to life. Whether it’s the school dance, the FIFA Cup, the student newspaper, the yearbook, or projects organized by the graduating class, we provide organizational or financial support. We also help fund equipment for common rooms and relaxation areas.
Looking for a casual hoodie? T-shirts and hoodies featuring the Fichte logo are available in many colors and styles – all organic, Fair Trade, and vegan. They’re sold in our online store and at many school events; we’ll announce the dates via the school’s newsletter.
We have fun together here – always! The Fichtefreunde and many helping hands from among the parents and faculty are there for all school events: finger food, delicious drinks, and lots of nice conversations – including a festive, street-festival-like atmosphere.
Exceptional commitment deserves a thank-you: so many people at die Fichte go far beyond the call. That's why the Förderverein hands out small tokens of appreciation — vouchers, flowers and other little gestures.
